AuroraClick is developed and maintained by a team of researchers from the University of New Hampshire and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
| Jeremiah Johnson is an associate professor in the Department of Applied Engineering and Sciences at the University of New Hampshire. Jeremiah's recent research focuses on applications of machine learning in magnetospheric physics, where he develops algorithmic techniques for understanding auroral morphology and forecasting geomagnetically induced currents. More generally, he is interested in the intersection of computational algebra and machine learning. | |
| Doga Ozturk is a research assistant professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her research is on the multi-scale coupling of the solar wind, magnetosphere, ionosphere, and thermosphere systems at high latitudes. Although she studies different classes of aurora, she is against all types of classification in her personal life. | |
| Hyunju Connor is a research astrophysicist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She studies the Sun – Earth interaction, Earth’s magnetosphere – ionosphere – thermosphere coupling, and exosphere using a physics-based simulation, artificial intelligence, and space/ground observations. She plans her own satellite mission ISEND, and supports several upcoming satellite missions funded by NASA and ESA (e.g., TRACERS, LEXI, and SMILE). She also actively involved in the educational outreach program named Space Weather UnderGround (SWUG) where high school students build a cost-efficient magnetometer array across Alaska and New Hampshire. | |
| Donald Hampton - Research Associate Professor at the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska-Fairbanks. | |
| Matthew Blandin - Ph.D student, Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska-Fairbanks. | |
| Farhaan Siddiqui is a junior at Bishop Brady High School in Concord, New Hampshire. He has a passion for math and computer science, and is currently working as a student researcher at the University of New Hampshire at Manchester under Dr. Jeremiah Johnson to predict GIC events using machine learning models. | |
| Vivian Palmer - Student researcher, University of Alaska-Fairbanks. | |
