With your help, we are able to learn more about the effects of urbanization on city-dwelling mammals, which will hopefully lead to ideas on how we can better support nature in our cities. We hope you enjoy the Wild Behavior of Philadelphian mammals!
Wild Behavior - PhiladelphiaThe Integrative Ecology Lab at Temple University invites you to explore the hidden lives of city mammals! Using motion-activated cameras, we capture glimpses of wildlife living in urban and suburban spaces.
Using artificial intelligence, we are able to filter out most blank images and images containing human faces, which leaves the photos of animals for you to analyze. Your help is crucial in reviewing these photos to tell us which species are present and uncover how urbanization shapes their behavior.
We hope to use this data to better understand how mammals live in human-dominated environments and how we can best support them. Join us to reveal the secret stories of Philadelphia's mammals!
