We are launching a huge data challenge related to Oceanic Colonization, get involved today!

FAQ

What will you do with your findings?

We plan on using the data results to present in graphs on an open publication or pre-print that will likely be uploaded on Academia.edu, GitHub, and/or other places

How will you analyze the data?

We want to utilize an AI to analyze the potential coordinates as well as get a sense of view on people's views related to oceanic colonization and where we go from there. We may even start utilizing sensors and testing connectivity and impact potential of said location if feasible at the time. ## What is my incentive to participating? ##
Your incentive for participating is being part of a large research initiative that is sourced in a publication

Why do you want many participants?

The more data we have the higher the accuracy and better quality the analysis because we can start clustering the data as well as analyzing things such as data discrepancies.

What questions are we answering?

Just from pointing out abnormalities in the pictures tells an AI what environmental conditions are best for oceanic colonization given social data and consensus, and we can analyze false positives and create a comparative model in relation to any coordinates that were chosen. This will allow us to get a better idea of the social consensus going on regarding geolocation and potentially start working on testing grounds for our technological prototypes. Any resulting graphs and summaries can then be released open source and on preprints or online publications.

Do you have permission to use this data?

All photos we have used are labeled for reuse without labeled restrictions for commercial applications and any information we provide is well sourced
