Transcribing will eventually allow the public to look up information on these documents and accurately see what was written. Everyone will have access to these documents.
Does it show which documents I have transcribed?
Zooniverse collects the username and IP address of all participants, but these will not be made public or attached to the collection on the Digital Collections website.
I am confused about something, who do I ask?
Feel free to contact any of our team members if you have any questions. There is also a "Talk" tab that allows the public to discuss and ask questions.
Who is in charge of this project?/Who am I helping?
The Florida International University Digital Collections Center is in charge or reviewing and archiving these manuscripts.
If I realized I have sent in a mistake, is there any way I can take back the document I submitted and fix it?
Once you have submitted a subject, you can no longer go back and fix it. There are other volunteers who are going to check - or have already checked - that same manuscript, so we will catch any mistakes made.
Am I forced to work on a specific document, even if I don't understand what is written?##
Of course not! Reloading the page will automatically give you a different document to transcribe.
