Danielle is a now a recent doctorate graduate from the Department of Biology at McMaster University, Canada. She researched the effects of water-level changes due to climate change on the ecology of Great Lakes coastal wetlands. She is the primary researcher and manager for Where's Walleye. However, our team is growing so stay tuned!

About Where's Walleye?

The Wetland Ecosystems Research Lab from McMaster University is attempting to develop a less invasive way to survey fish communities in Great Lakes coastal wetlands, rather than using traditional netting or electrofishing methods. Using inexpensive materials, we have created an underwater camera system, and now we need your help! Volunteers will help us comb through the footage, searching for fish (which can be sneaky sometimes). Ultimately, these data are hoped to train an ML model in the future to automate this process!
