Thank you all so much for the massive support classifying targets on day 1! You have worked through the initial upload MUCH faster than we anticipated. Don't worry though there is more to discover and more data will be uploaded very soon!

It has been fantastic seeing all of the classifications come through with over 26000 in less than a day. So many amazing targets have already come out of just this first set of data! The Cosmic Cataclysms team is getting to work checking the targets we've uncovered today, but that might take a while since there are so many interesting objects.

Past Results

In a precursor to this project we searched through TESS data that coincided with known gamma ray bursts to look for their optical afterglows. We were able to discover a few new afterglows in the TESS data, and find some interesting physics behind the gamma ray burst afterglows. The paper is available here:
