We are an international group of researchers studying the phenomenon of ram-pressure stripping, with collaborators from all over the world and from different specialisations of astronomy, working together to discover and understand jellyfish galaxies.
For any enquiries about this Zooniverse project, please contact @CBellhouse.
A large part of our team are members of the GASP (GAs Stripping Phenomena in galaxies with MUSE) collaboration. Headquartered in Padua, Italy, we have been observing and studying jellyfish galaxies in optical, radio, UV and X-rays, and in simulations, trying to build upon our understanding of the complex processes inside and outside the galaxies as they collide with clusters.
For more information about our work, all of the astronomers involved in GASP, and other news from the collaboration, take a look at our webpage: https://web.oapd.inaf.it/gasp/
