Wild Mont-BlancWild Mont-Blanc সম্পর্কে
Around sixty camera traps have been installed in the Mont Blanc massif to monitor alpine animal species. Since 2024, monitoring has been enhanced by the addition of 11 camera traps in Les Bauges and 23 in the Belledonne massif. The Centre for Research on High Altitude Ecosystems (CREA Mont-Blanc) needs your help to identify the animals present in the hundreds of thousands of images collected, as well as to observe their behavioor and record other valuable information!
This project was initiated by CREA Mont-Blanc and "Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc".
Thanks for your support:
The European Union is committed supporting the Alpine Massif through the European Regional Development Fund.
The HerbiLand project, within which monitoring using camera traps was initiated in the Bauges and Belledonne mountain ranges, is financed by the European funds FEDER Massif Alpes 2021-2027 and co-financed by the AURA region, the Fondation Alpes Sauvages and the Fondation Crédit Mutuel.
This project is supported by the French State through the "Fonds national d'aménagement et de développement du territoire".
