Did I see a banded bird!?About Did I see a banded bird!?
The "Did I see a banded bird!?" is a citizen science project created in Brazil in 2016. This project engages several citizens in monitoring banded (ringed) birds in different locations in Brazil. One of our current research projects focuses on the impacts caused by bird feeders.
You will find here some of our camera videos of banded birds visiting feeders at four locations within the Brazilian Atlantic Forest Biome. We are asking citizen scientists to watch our videos and try to identify banded birds. By doing this, we can:
1. Understand which colors of bands are easiest to identify;
2. Evaluate which colors and band brands are prone to losing color through the time;
3. Evaluate which banded species are more detectable;
