About Cameras for Conservation EY

American Prairie needs YOUR help to identify the diverse wildlife seen on Montana's Great Plains.

American Prairie is creating a 3.2 million acre nature reserve in northeastern Montana, protecting the threatened short-grass prairie ecosystem. Cameras for Conservation is an ongoing American Prairie project that uses trail cameras to monitor the presence of native species on participating prairie properties. In return, landowners receive compensation for specific species present on their property.

With your help identifying trail camera photos we can protect prairie species by having these species viewed as economic assets, therefore increasing the tolerance for wildlife on private lands. American Prairie is paying rent for wildlife!
