Role: Lead Researcher and NLP Specialist
Alba is a DPhil student in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP). With a keen interest in the intersection of Graph Neural Networks and Large Language Models, Alba is pioneering methodologies to combat misinformation through the development of automatic fact-checking models.
Role: Advisor and Language Modelling Expert
Janet Pierrehumbert is the professor of Language Modelling in the Oxford e-Research Centre, Dept. of Engineering Science. With additional roles within the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, and as an Associate Member of the Oxford Man Institute, her expertise in language models brings invaluable insights into our project. Janet's guidance is instrumental in refining our methodologies and enhancing the precision of our climate science communication.
Role: Project Reviewer
Aida just started her second year PhD in NLP at Leuphana University Lüneburg under supervision of Prof. Dr. Ricardo Usbeck. Her focus lies in the intersection of NLP and Sustainability, where she mostly works with climate reports, corporate claims and misinformation detection.
Our team is united by a shared vision: to make climate science accessible and understandable to all. Through our combined efforts, we aim to bridge the gap between complex scientific data and public perception, fostering a well-informed community ready to take informed action against climate change.
