Raccoons can be found in most of our cities in North America. They are often described as clever trouble-makers. However, we actually don't know too much about their behavior, what types of problems they can solve, and how they learn.

About University of Wyoming Raccoon Project

The University of Wyoming Raccoon Project (UWRP) is a research group that studies the behavior and cognition of urban carnivores, especially raccoons. We are interested in how skills like learning and problem-solving enable raccoons and other animals to adapt to rapid environmental change, including urbanization. We use a variety of high-tech equipment to monitor and observe wild raccoons and skunks in the town of Laramie WY, and we need your help reviewing video footage of our nocturnal experiments!
