**Our wonderful image classification volunteers have so far identified animals from 3524 camera trap events in 2022. The animal most common to our study area was the White-Footed Mouse. However, our volunteers helped us document Lake Erie Watersnake use of conservation habitats on Middle Bass Island. This is great news for the species!**

Be a Scientist! Identify animals captured by camera traps.

Island Critter Cam

You will be shown various images captured by our camera traps. Some animals may be very large and obvious. Some are very small or move quickly and can therefore be difficult to see, so look closely. From the choices provided, indicate what animal(s) you see.  If you are unsure, use the 'Field Guide' tab on the right side of the screen to see some example images of animals. If you see an animal not listed, indicate 'other' and complete the form when it appears. Even your best guess is helpful!
